Retamar’s 1st Baccalaureate team, composed of Íñigo Arreytunandia Usabiaga, Rafael de Gregorio Quiroga, Pedro Sunyer Nestares and Ignacio Vázquez Guillén-Rey, finished as finalists in this year’s edition of the Community of Madrid Debate Tournament in English. In addition, our 4th of ESO team – composed of José María Ferrer Herranz, Ignacio Valdés Zorrilla de Lequerica, Pablo Sunyer Nestares and Fernando Egaña Montero – did a fantastic job in the same tournament, narrowly missing out on participating in the final phases of the competition.

With more than 300 students in over 70 teams participating in the competition this year, our students did an incredible job of demonstrating not only a superb level of English (to say nothing of their critical thinking, careful listening and skilful rhetorical skills) but also a noble and inspiring level of dedication to their teammates.

We look forward to the same outstanding quality of participation in the tournament next year!
